Business awards mark tenth anniversary

THE Bangor Business Awards will have double the reason to celebrate at this year´s prestigious ceremony.

For not only will local businesses be recognised for their excellence, but this year´s awards ceremony marks their tenth anniversary.

Representatives from local business and regional sponsoring businesses attended the launch at Bangor´s Signal Business Centre of Excellence last Friday (26th).

The awards organisers, Bangor Chamber of Commerce and Bangor Town Centre Management were delighted to welcome North Down Borough Council on board as this year´s principal sponsor.

The Gala event will take place on May 20, in the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel when Bangor Chamber of Commerce, Town Centre Management and sponsors North Down Borough Council will be joined by Corporate Sponsor Spectator Newspapers.

The other award sponsors include Ulster Bank, Denman, Wilson Nesbitt, AXA Direct, North Down Development Organisation (NDDO), Invest NI, J Hatty & Co, Matthew Morrow from O2, Flagship Centre, Signal Business Centre of Excellence, Mellons Hyundai and the Evening Economy Working Group.

Dan Gordon, leading local comedian and star of the popular television comedy series ´Give my Head Peace´, will host the evening, ensuring all have an enjoyable evening celebrating business excellence in Bangor.

The awards offer local businesses the opportunity to put themselves forward for recognition for the hard work and dedication that is invested in their business.

The organisers believe that in such challenging economic times the awards are even more necessary to encourage confidence and to promote excellence in business practice.
