Love online finds fairytale romance

THE fairytale romance of Lisa McIlrath and Colin Fletcher will melt the coldest of hearts and touch even the most embittered cynic.

In just four weeks time the soul mates are set to marry in Bangor´s seafront Marine Court Hotel, just eight short months after they first met on-line.

Theirs is a story of love across the miles, from Bangor by the sea to Wolverhampton in England, set against a backdrop of technology, and culminating in a romantic, candlelit marriage proposal.

However this romantic tale of hearts and flowers would not have been possible without the help of Lisa´s two daughters, Melissa and Louisa, who initially signed their mum up to the E-Harmony matchmaking website.

There is nothing the Spectator enjoys more than a happy ever after, so we were delighted when the blissed out bride to be found time in her hectic schedule to speak to us.

With the count down to the big day underway, the 42 year old Bangor woman, who literally radiates happiness, explained why she wanted to share her remarkable story.

Lisa said, "I found my best friend and soul mate through an internet site. He is the love of my live and we have never been happier.

"It is lovely telling our story and it would be great if other singletons out there took a chance on life and ´got out there´."
