Bangor gets ready to party for Haiti

A LOCAL hotel and broadcaster are swinging into action, to help the people stricken by the recent earthquake in Haiti.

The Clandeboye Lodge Hotel is hosting Bangor4Haiti, a party night, on Saturday February 27 to raise vital funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) which is coordinating the aid effort on the island.

“We wanted to contribute to the Haiti cause and after speaking with other local businesses we felt it was worth putting our expertise to good use by organising a fundraising event.

"We are hoping the local community will join us to raise much needed funds for the people of Haiti,” explains Pim Dalm, managing director of the Clandeboye Lodge, just on the outskirts of Bangor.

The hotel has joined forces with Citybeat 96.7/102.5FM to launch the Bangor4Haiti campaign and give local people the chance to support the people of Haiti.

The event will include a live broadcast with Citybeat, hosted by DJ Stuart Robinson.
