Band of gold ´gift´ to charity collectors
Volunteer collectors for Action MS were amazed when they emptied their collecting tins after a successful day´s efforts in Newtownards on Saturday January 30, during which generous local folk donated a total of £783.11.
For they found a wedding ring, presumably deposited by mistake when one member of the public was making their donation.
Explains a spokeswoman for Action MS, Northern Ireland’s multiple sclerosis charity, "The distinctive Action MS green buckets and street collectors were in the High Street/ Regent Street area. It was a very cold day at the end of January."
Commenting that the wedding band is distinctive, she added, "If this is your wedding band please contact Carol at Action MS, telephone 907 907 07 or email info@actionms.co.uk"
