Shop hero disarms masked gunman
The customer jumped over the counter, disarmed and restrained the robber, as he pointed the firearm at a staff member.
At around 9.30pm on Monday (26th) night, the masked man was armed with a gun when he went behind the counter and demanded money.
A PSNI spokeswoman said, “The man was pointing the firearm at a member of staff when a customer entered the store, jumped over the counter, disarmed and restrained him.”
Police apprehended a 37 year old man at the scene who is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
