Rory dramatically stormed into the lead and the international headlines on the opening day of the historic tournament on the scenic links course on the Scottish east coast last Thursday.
He equalled the lowest ever score of all time on the opening day of a golfing ‘Major’, shooting an amazing 63, nine strokes under the par for the course, eight of them in the last nine holes.
