POLICE have shut down the third cannabis factory found to be operating in North Down in the past seven months.Last Friday (16th) cannabis plants worth half a million pounds were seized from a house at Bangor’s Newtownards Road.
Just last month, in a separate incident, suspected cannabis plants worth £150,000 were removed from a house in the Old Fort area of Helen’s Bay.
Last December, in another separate incident, cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £500,000 were discovered when the district crime team raided a house on Bangor’s picturesque Raglan Road.
The Spectator understands that the cannabis factories have all been found in rented properties.
