£500,000 cannabis factory shut down
POLICE have shut down the third cannabis factory found to be operating in North Down in the past seven months.
Last Friday (16th) cannabis plants worth half a million pounds were seized from a house at Bangor’s Newtownards Road.
Just last month, in a separate incident, suspected cannabis plants worth £150,000 were removed from a house in the Old Fort area of Helen’s Bay.
Last December, in another separate incident, cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £500,000 were discovered when the district crime team raided a house on Bangor’s picturesque Raglan Road.
The Spectator understands that the cannabis factories have all been found in rented properties.
