Brave Mark battles to recovery
DARING Holywood explorer Mark Pollock is making ‘slight improvements’ each day, following his 25ft fall from a house window whilst sleep walking.
The blind adventurer remains in the Royal Berkshire Hospital where he is receiving expert care both from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team and the orthopaedic staff.
The courageous 34 year old had been attending the Henley Royal Regatta when he fell 25 feet from a first floor window, on Friday, July 2.
He suffered head injuries, broken bones and internal trauma in the fall, that was witnessed by his friends who rushed to his aid.
His family, his fiancée Simone George and her family are all continuing their bedside vigil.
Mark was just 22 years old when he lost his sight, but thanks to his determination and courage he is now a professional adventure athlete and works as a public and motivational speaker.
